Aarathi (born in Aragal, Mysore) is an Indian actress turned director who works predominantly in Kannada language films. She is best known for her acting prowess in many author backed female centric roles during the 1970s and 1980s. After her self-declared retirement from films in the late 1980s, she returned as director with Mithayi Mane (2005) which met with critical appreciation and also won the Karnataka State Film Award for Best Children's Film.As a lead actress in more than 125 feature films, Aarathi was considered to be among the top league of actresses of her time, having won the Filmfare awards and the Karnataka State Film Award for Best Actress four times each. She was also nominated as the Member of Legislative Council at the Vidhana parishad making her only the second actress after B. Jayamma.Aishwarya was born to S. Devan, who is from Bangalore, and Sheeja Devan who hails from Shornur.A photograph of Aishwarya Devan on Facebook drew attention of two directors – Gautam Patnaik and Deepan. Gautam’s cast her in his film Yuvan / Keratam, while Deepan introduced her to Shaji Kailas who cast her in his film Simhasanam. She played a Bangalore-based girl who, after her Plus Two, enters college in both her films. Simhasanam was Aishwarya's first Malayalam film.After Simhasanam, she acted in Bala's The Hit List and Major Ravi’s Karmayodha. In both films she was reported to play an extrovert and she stated that she found it very tough since was an introvert in real life.Aruna Irani (born 3 May 1952 in Mumbai) is an Indian actress who has acted in over 300 films mostly playing supporting roles. She has danced in the songs "Thoda Resham Lagta Hai" from film Jyoti (1969), "Chadti Jawani Meri Chaal Mastani", "Dilbar Dilse Pyare", "Ab Jo Mile Hai" from film Caravan (1971), "Main Shayar To Nahi" from film Bobby (1973) and "Apni To Jaise Taise" from film "Lawaaris" (1981) amongst others. Her performance in both films won her nomination at Filmfare Awards for Best Supporting Role. She holds the record for winning maximum nominations in this category and received the award twice for her roles in Pet Pyaar Aur Paap (1985) and Beta (1993). In January 2012, she was honoured with Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award at the 57th Filmfare Awards function.
Amulya (born 14 September 1993 as Moulya) is an Indian film actress who appears in Kannada films. She made her acting debut as a child artist in the early 2000s and appeared in a lead role in 2007 with Cheluvina Chittara. She is best known for her roles in the commercially successful films Chaitrada Chandrama (2008) and Naanu Nanna Kanasu (2010).Ashwini Kalsekar is an Indian soap opera actress. She is best known to television audiences for her role as Maham Anga in Jodha Akbar (TV series).Ashwini Kalsekar was born in 22 January 1970 in Mumbai in Maharashtra. Her father Anil Kalsekar was a Bank employee. Ashwini studied her B.A. from Bombay and graduated in 1991. She pursued theatre from 1991-1994 as an understudy. From 1992-1993 she was an understudy to actress Neena Gupta. She also trained under Muzammeel Vakil, a theatre acting coach from 1992-1995. Ashwini is a trained Kathak dancer.
